A Scarborough low-voltage contractor run by two brothers: security cameras, data cabling, Wi-Fi, sound and TVs, usually more than one of them on the same job.
AMS Tech is two brothers, Ala Hammoud and Diah, who opened it in 2020. No investors, no franchise, no big company behind it. The two of them still quote the jobs, pull the cable and hang the cameras themselves.
It grew one finished job at a time. Golden Gate has had us on six to seven of its plazas. A restaurant group now runs 60 of our cameras across two locations. Most of our work still comes from people who have seen what we left behind.
Small things, but they are the difference between a system you forget about and one you keep calling someone to fix.
For anything bigger than a few cameras, we walk the site first, so the price covers the real job.
Through the walls, the ceilings and the soffits. One client’s review says it in six words: “Not 1 wire can be seen.”
Every port on the patch panel, every plate on the wall. The next person to open the cabinet can read it.
Every camera checked and the app set up on your phone before we pack up.
A good part of our work is in places where people gather: sound, wireless mics, livestreams and cameras for prayer halls and community centres. At one Scarborough mosque we put in the access control and the alarm and donated the labour.
Ala is as honest and straightforward as the day is long. Saved us a lot of time, hassle, and money by guiding us in our security camera set up. Diah was an absolute pleasure to work with during installation.
