An empty new building is the easiest target

Golden Gate has had us on six to seven of its plazas. This one was still a site when we started: hoarding up, a boom lift in the lot, no tenants. The cameras are most useful right then, so the job was built around the construction schedule rather than after it.

The order of work

Built around the schedule

  1. Rough-in. Cat6 pulled to every camera position and coiled at the service room while the framing was open.
  2. Walls close. The other trades finish the precast and the stone; our cable is already inside.
  3. Cameras up. Colour night-vision turrets on the panels, bullets on the corners for the lot and the drive lanes.
  4. Tenants arrive. The building has been on camera since before anyone moved in.
